Taco Bell is the latest fast-food chain to accept Venmo payments. Major chains such as Chipotle (CMG), Panda Express, Subway, Starbucks (SBUX), KFC (NYSE:YUM), Domino’s (DPZ), Papa John’s (PZZA), Wendy’s (WEN), Taco Bell (NYSE:YUM), Dunkin’, Papa Murphy’s, The Halal Guys, McDonald’s (MCD), and Blaze Pizza have also started to accept Venmo QR codes at select locations. In some cases, the Venmo option has to be set up in advance through the restaurant chain’s app.
PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL) announced on Wednesday the new deal with Taco Bell that allows customers to use their PayPal and Venmo accounts to easily pay for their meals. As a perk, Taco Bell customers checking out with PayPal in the Taco Bell app can also receive 20% cash back on any purchase over $5, $10 cash back maximum per purchase. The exclusive 20% cash back offer is available until July 31, 2025, for weekly redemption.
