Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) has begun some of its major clients, including Apple (AAPL), of upcoming price hikes for its advanced nodes, Naver reported.
The price hikes could be between 8% and 10% and could impact multiple process lines, the news outlet added. The nodes that are likely to be impacted are below 5 mm, the news outlet explained. These are advanced nodes that are used for advanced electronics, such as smartphones and GPUs.
Taiwan Semiconductor produces chips for a number of different companies, including Apple, Nvidia (NVDA), AMD (AMD) and others.
Taiwan Semiconductor did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
