Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) has been granted its annual approval by the U.S. government to export chip making products to China, Reuters reported.
Taiwan Semiconductor shares rose 1.4% in late afternoon trading on Wednesday.
“The U.S. Department of Commerce has granted TSMC Nanjing an annual export license that allows U.S. export-controlled items to be supplied to TSMC Nanjing without the need for individual vendor licenses,” the company told the news outlet. “This license, issued before the December 31, 2025 expiration of existing Validated End-User authorization, ensures uninterrupted fab operations and product deliveries.”
