- Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said that Grok, the AI chatbot developed by his tech company xAI, will be integrated into Tesla vehicles “next week at the latest,” according to a post on X.
- Musk’s announcement comes on the heels of complaints that Grok, which is now integrated into Musk’s social platform X, made pro-Hitler statements to some X user inquiries. Musk attributed the responses on Thursday to user manipulation.
“Grok was too compliant to user prompts,” Musk wrote on X, according to the BBC. “Too eager to please and be manipulated, essentially. That is being addressed.”
X CEO Linda Yaccarino stepped down from her post on Wednesday amid the complaints.
- Musk also said on X that he expects Tesla’s (NASDAQ:TSLA) robotaxi service to expand in Austin this weekend. He added that pending regulatory approvals, he expects the service to launch in San Francisco in “probably a month or two.”
Google’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) Waymo robotaxi service also operates in San Francisco. Waymo operates in Austin in partnership with Uber (UBER). Amazon’s (AMZN) Zoox robotaxi service is also expected to begin rolling soon in San Francisco.
- The U.K. government is investing 163.3 billion euros, or around $191 million, in Eutelsat Communications (OTCPK:EUTLF) (OTCPK:ETCMY) following an investment by the French government.
“This additional participation from another key reference shareholder will increase the total amount to be raised to €1.5 billion, further underpinning the execution of Eutelsat’s long-term strategic vision,” Eutelsat said in a statement.
Following the investments, the French State will hold a 29.65% stake in the company, followed by Bharti Space with 17.88% and the U.K. Government with 10.89%, Eutelsat added.
Eutelsat is widely viewed as a competitor of satellite internet provider Starlink (STRLK), which is owned by SpaceX (SPACE).
