- OpenAI and Elon Musk are advising investors that Robinhood’s (NASDAQ:HOOD) OpenAI tokens are not actual equity stakes in the privately held company.
“These ‘OpenAI tokens’ are not OpenAI equity. We did not partner with Robinhood, were not involved in this, and do not endorse it. Any transfer of OpenAI equity requires our approval—we did not approve any transfer. Please be careful,” OpenAI said in a post on X.
“Your ‘equity’ is fake,” Musk added, in his own post on X. Musk, who currently serves as CEO of Tesla (TLSA), SpaceX (SPACE) and xAI, is a co-founder of OpenAI.
Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) announced earlier this week that it would be offering tokens for over 200 U.S. stocks and ETFs.

CoreWeave said it collaborated with Dell (NYSE:DELL), Switch, and Vertiv (NYSE:VRT) to build the initial deployment of the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems. CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) held its initial public offering in March.
- Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone sales in China increased for the first time in two years last quarter, according to CNBC, which cited Counterpoint Research.
