President Donald Trump urged support for the Credit Card Competition Act, saying the legislation would help curb what he described as “out of control” swipe fees, in a post on Truth Social.
“Everyone should support great Republican Senator Roger Marshall’s Credit Card Competition Act, in order to stop the out of control Swipe Fee ripoff,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Credit card and credit card issuer stocks fell on Monday after President Donald Trump late on Friday called for a one-year cap on credit card interest rates at 10%.
