The Trump administration is said to be discussing the launch of a website that would allow consumers to purchase prescription drugs less expensively by buying them directly from pharmaceutical companies.
White House officials are also considering naming the website “TrumpRx,” Bloomberg reported.
The development comes as a Sept. 29 deadline for drug companies to lower prices set by the administration’s “most favored nation” drug pricing policy is quickly approaching.
As envisioned, patients would be able to look up drugs on the website and then be provided with links to platforms that sell them, according to Bloomberg.
