Walmart (WMT) is in discussions to purchase R&A Data, an Israeli-founded startup used to combat scams and counterfeits.
Details of the deal weren’t immediately known, according to a CNBC report on Wednesday, which cited people familiar with the matter.
R&A data has been working with Walmart as a third party vendor since at least 2024, according to the report. R&A data helps the retailer screen listings on its online marketplace.
Walmart didn’t return CNBC requests for comment. R&A declined to comment.
