Autonomous driving technology group Wayve is reportedly in talks with investors, including Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and SoftBank (OTCPK:SFTBY), to raise as much as $2 billion in funding.
The potential investment could value the UK-based startup at approximately $8 billion, the Financial Times reported on Monday, citing sources.
Wayve earlier this year said Nvidia (NVDA) plans to invest $500 million in the company as part of a broader £2 billion ($2.7 billion) funding initiative to boost the UK’s AI ecosystem.
