Weight Watchers offering weight loss drugs on Amazon Pharmacy, shares climb 10%

Members of WW International’s (NASDAQ:WW) WeightWatchers Clinic can now get weight loss medications though Amazon Pharmacy (NASDAQ:AMZN), capitalizing on the proliferation of GLP-1s with Amazon’s fast and free delivery for Prime members.

Through this partnership between Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and WW International (NASDAQ:WW), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) automatically applies manufacturer-sponsored savings at checkout with no enrollment or the need to manually enter coupon cards.

“This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to expanding access, improving convenience, and advancing health outcomes for those using weight management medications. As WeightWatchers and Amazon Pharmacy build on this collaboration, members can expect even more streamlined prescription support as part of their overall health journey,” WW International said in a statement.

To embrace the explosive growth of weight loss medications and mitigate the destructive impact to its traditional weight management program, WW International (NASDAQ:WW) acquired Sequence in April 2023, creating the new WeightWatchers Clinic to provide eligible members with access to FDA-approved weight loss medications. The clinical subscriber business doubled between the third quarter of 2024 to the first quarter of 2025, facilitating the parent company’s emergence from bankruptcy protection in June 2025.

The success of its Clinic business encouraged Weight Watchers to expand its offering of GLP-1s by entering a partnership with Novo Nordisk (NVO) to offer its Clinic members access to Wegovy, and integrate Novo Nordisk (NVO) weight-loss medications into holistic health and wellness approaches.

The collaboration temporarily drove WW (WW) shares to a post-bankruptcy peak of $46.95. After retracing in subsequent sessions, the stock is up nearly 10% on Monday on news of its tie-up with Amazon (AMZN).
