Worst performing stocks for tax loss selling – Wolfe
Wolfe research put together a basket of the worst performing stocks for tax loss selling.
Historically, analysts see a bounce trade of the worst performing stocks as the end of tax loss selling approaches, said Chris Senyek, chief investment strategist at Wolfe Research. This trade typically starts mid-December and continues through the first few weeks of the next year.
These stocks historically outperform by an average of about 250 basis points during the last two weeks of December through the end of January, Senyek said.
