U.S. stock index futures on Friday slumped, after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened tariffs against Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and the European Union. Here are some stocks to watch on Friday:
- Shares of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) were -3.6% in pre-market trading, after Trump threatened to slap a 25% tariff on the tech giant’s products unless it built its iPhones at home. “I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhone’s that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else,” Trump said on his Truth Social service. “If that is not the case, a Tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the U.S.,” the President added.
- Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock was -3.2% ahead of the opening bell. A regulatory filing on Thursday showed that shareholders had rejected a proposal that would require the e-commerce and tech firm to permanently separate the roles of the chief executive and board chair. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) was also in focus the previous day after Bill Ackman’s activist hedge fund Pershing Square disclosed that it had taken a new position in the Magnificent 7 member. Pershing sees AMZN’s valuation as “attractive” and pointed to the strength of its dual business model.
- Shares of Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) were -14.2% ahead of market open, after the McLean, Va.-based company issued fiscal full year 2026 guidance that missed expectations. For FQ4 2025, Booz Allen (NYSE:BAH) reported adjusted profit per share that came in-line with the consensus, while missing out on revenue estimates. BAH provides cyber and artificial intelligence technology solutions primarily to the government for defense, civil and national security projects.
- Copart (NASDAQ:CPRT) stock was -4.9% in pre-market trading, after delivering a FQ3 2025 revenue miss. Executives on the earnings conference call pointed to softness in Copart’s (NASDAQ:CPRT) insurance business, along with flat unit sales in its U.S. segment. “We have observed softness in the heavy equipment auction space, due in part to widespread uncertainty regarding infrastructure spending and tariffs,” CFO Leah Stearns said. Copart (CPRT) runs online car auctions.
