Affirm’s BNPL offering to be accessible to U.S. Apple Pay users this year
Affirm Holdings (NASDAQ:AFRM) stock climbed 7.9% in Tuesday premarket trading on Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) announcement that Affirm’s payment products are expected to be made available to U.S. Apple Pay users later this year.
The move will allow users checking out online or in-app with Apple Pay to pay over time with Affirm’s (AFRM) Buy Now, Pay Later offering.
The partnership is not expected to have a material impact on revenue or gross merchandise volume in fiscal-year 2025, Affirm (AFRM) said in a regulatory filing.
On Monday, Apple (AAPL) introduced Apple Pay online, sending shares of BNPL provider PayPal (PYPL) lower.
