Boeing secures $2.8 Billion ESS space vehicle contract

The Boeing (NYSE:BA) has been awarded a $2.84 billion cost-plus-incentive-award-fee contract for the development and production of four Evolved Strategic Satellite (ESS) communications space vehicles.

The project work will be performed in El Segundo, California, with an expected completion date of December 31, 2033.

The award includes an initial $100 million in Fiscal 2025 funding.

The Space Systems Command, Military Communication and Positioning, Navigation and Timing, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity (FA8807-25-C-B006).
