Ford Q3 vehicle sales increase 0.7% on gains in hybrids and EVs
- Driven by a 38% surge in hybrid sales and 12.2% increase in sales of its electric vehicles, both of which offset a 2.8% decline in ICE sales, Ford (NYSE:F) total vehicle sales were up 0.7% in the third quarter to 504,039.
- Electric vehicle sales increased to 23,509 with the help of its F-150 Lightning pick-up truck and E-Transit commercial van.
- By type, SUV sales were down 5.6% and car sales fell by 8% in Q3 from a year earlier, while truck sales gained 6.0%.
