JPMorgan Chase credit card net charge-off rate rises in October
JPMorgan Chase’s (NYSE:JPM) credit card trust saw its net charge-off rate rise to prepandemic levels in October as its delinquency rate remained below that mark.
The Chase Issuance Trust delinquency rate was 0.87%, unchanged from September. That’s also a lower reading than 0.98% in October 2023 and 1.16% in October 2019.
Its net charge-off rate of 1.62% increased from 1.57% in September, but is slightly below 1.65% from a year ago. Five years ago, before the pandemic, its net charge-off rate was 1.61%.
The trust’s principal receivables rose to $12.7B at Oct. 31, 2024, from $12.6B at the end of September, according to its filing.
